Its great easy to learn perfect for beginners or for reminders ^^

Letters A E I O U not written in alphabetical order in the hiragana grid, makes it more difficult to memorise, as well as the side letters. But helpful and fun app!

Very didactic, good step-by-step guides, as well as simple vocabulary tips to help you learn! You can really feel the progress! I would recommend this to anyone who has to learn Japanese.

Really a nice app. The menu sequence could be better. Always a new window is not that user friendly. Sometimes the app is crashing. 3 Stars only as of crashing.

This great app will offer abundant hints and intuitive use. I am now officially infected with learning Japanese.

I tried many different things to get started studying Japanese. I bought books and downloaded plenty of apps but always felt overwhelmed and didnt know where to start. This app is absolutely genius because it breaks everything down into small chunks, you get the correct writing, pronunciation and sample words. The quizzes and study cards are a great way to repeat what you learned, practice reading and let everything sink in properly. Id totally recommend this app!

At first let me say, that im totally excited about this App - its awesome. But there is one big Problem in this App - if you guys fix it youll definitily get 5*. On my iPhone 6+ (im Using the newest iOS available and the newest version of this App) i can sadly not Play any of the Sounds. So ist is nice for learning the katana but i have no idea about pronounciation, what realy is a big pitty. Fix this plz. Im realy sorry about the 3* but without the sound function it simply is like that.

I actually downloaded this so I could review and practice, because Im taking a Japanese class, and its great, its simple and straight forward, and cheaper than the class, I recommend it to anyone wanting to learn Japanese for whatever reason, this app is a great starting tool

Like the title says, its an excellent app for beginners wanting to learn how to read and the japanese syllabaries. Simple yet effective, plus its free. :D

Only part way through the hiragana so far, but picking it up quickly... much quicker than when my grandpa tried to teach me with just flash cards! Each lesson gives great tips on how to remember, and my favourite part so far is quizzing on actual words. I am experiencing the random crash as well, so hope that can be fixed. Another suggestion would be turning off the sound during the quizzes, so that it forces you to phonetically read the word before associating it to the meaning, rather than just hearing it.

Im really enjoying this app. Its very well done thanks for making it. Its just what I need.

Awesome! great way to learn and to quiz right after. But there should be a way to hide the answers when we do a test and choose when we wanna hear the sounds.

Great for beginners but it crashes a lot

Being someone who self-teaches languages, this really helps! Ive been trying to learn hiragana for a while now, since I have a couple of Japanese mangas, and this is really helping rather than me staring at a chart and just re writing the chart to remember it.
